Anyone take their mudguards off to prevent scraping? I unintentionally ripped my front left one off last night backing into my driveway, heaven forbid I drive in face front I would've prob. lost my engine.....the screw hole is now stripped and the metal lip that retains the lower screw is bent. I was thinking of leaving it off for weight reduction purposes

Didn't know you could get mudflaps on a corvette. I can't even recall seeing any on one. Last time I was washing the Z I was thinking if it had some the paint in front of the wheels would look much better. Anyone got any pics?
Are you talking about the three-piece spoiler set under the front of your car? That's not a mudguard! Those pieces are essential to proper engine cooling so don't remove them. You can trim them a little, but you really need to retain them, especially the middle piece. Mudguards?

Damn, you had to say it, I was waiting for the poster to offer more info....

Not speaking of the spoiler but of the mudguards located behind all four wheels attached to the body of the car by 3 screws. In my initial question I was referring to the front driver's side guard. Thanks.
