Well my car finally died this evening . Its 2:44 am as im typing this thread while my car sits all alone at Cinemark movie theater. Went to go see Hitman; which wasnt very good btw ; and when we came out to go home my car wouldnt start! It had been doing this for a while; when I go to turn the key-nothing. All the accesories would come on but the car wouldnt turn over, no starter drag or anything. My guess is there is something going on with the ignition.
Im waking up early tommorow morning to go tend to my baby, hopefully its in one piece and of to the stealership...........................aa agghhh happy thanksgiving to all.
Check battery first Jesse, then other things. Check DIC codes, fuses, connections. Look for small or obvious things first before you go hauling your baby to the "ship".
Let us know!
Take a screw driver and run it across both terminals on the starter, see if it jumps.May be starter, like stated above first check battery and connections.Good luck.

This happened to me it was the battery. All acc would work but car would not start no turning over nothing. Changed battery and all is well. So try a boost first.
Good Luck

Thanks everyone for your input. Went back this morning and the car started fine......weird. As far as the battery goes its only about 3 months old. The last time this happened to me I got a new one so ive kinda ruled that out. The fuses all look good and when I started it this morning it turned over no problem, so ive kinda ruled the starter out. Im thinking its the ignition. Well I have a 1:00 appointment at the dealership........... I will keep you guys updated.
^^^^ hope you like them Greg! Well just got a call back from the dealer. They said they couldnt find anything wrong with it. They put it on the dyno and got no codes..........which is what I told him. He said that the positive battery cable was lose, I call BS on that. If the cable was lose would it still read 13v? Anymore theories on what it could be. I think ill take it to 21st century muscle.
A cable loose is a possibility. I had the cable loose and it was attached to the battery along with my connections for my electeric waterpump. I left a shop that was doing some stereo work and got home fine. Then I went down to the store and almost overheated from the pump not being on. Obviously the battery was still getting juice cause I drove to the store. Then I drove back to the shop after it cooled down and it was fine again. We found out that the battery connections weren't tightened enough, which caused the waterpump not to turn on. Hopefully it's just a loose cable for ya!

The dealer might not be wrong here. I've read/seen this scenario happen more than a couple of times where the positive cable connection (on the starter solenoid, not the battery) has loosened or corroded. Hope you're in the clear now.
Same thing happened to mine- Fix? - Clean & Tighten the Positive Batt. Cable!!! Became loose & corroded within 1 1/2 months! Don't over look the obvious!
funny, I was going to post a thread for the exact same issue tonight! I think it may be the key chip, I had a similar problem with my old Z28, one morning had to tow it in....cost around $300 for a new ignition. Right now I am going to take both keys with me, just in case, but I also will check the positive battery cable since I messed with it when installing my vent lights. But I think my issue began before that. I can sometimes pull the key out, turn it 180 degrees, and it starts right up. Hopefully it is not the ignition itself, I really don't want to spend $300+ just for that.
