Default Exhaust question

I'm trying to sell my Corsa Touring system but I ran into a little problem.

When I bought the mufflers, the previous owner welded the clamps to the pipe. I was able to grind most of them off, and free the clamps, but there is one that is real bad. It is welded all the way around. So I took it to a muffler shop and he HACKED the thing up. He took a sawzall and just started cutting into the pipe. He didn't break the weld, and now there is a gash in one of my inlet pipes.

Does anyone know if Corsa sells individual parts? Because the only way I think I can salvage this is by cutting the old pipe off, and cleaning up the welds from there.

Oh and if there happens to be anyone that wants to buy a mangled Corsa Touring system please let me know. Hahaha

Dude, by the time your done with your Frankenstein hack job exhaust, your going to have a hard time selling it. People find untouched, used exhaust systems for dirt cheap these days. I doubt they are going to want to buy some mangled patch work exhaust for their Corvette. If it were a Mustang exhaust....

Save the money you were going to spend on more pieces and chalk it up to experience. Then go back to the shop that hacked your system and hit the JA over the head with it!

Good luck with the patches and the sell.

The only part that is mangled in the inlet pipe. If I can get that replaced, then the rest ofthe system is actually in really nice condition.

I agree that about the only way to find out is to call Corsa and ask them if they will sell the part you need. I have my doubts, but you just never know. Good luck.

I'm be interested in your Touring Corsa's, but I'd like to take a picture of the damage to your inlet to my Vette shop. I've got Pace Car's, but recent engine mod's have made my LG LT Pro/no cat set-up just too loud.

Thanks for any help.
