Okay, we all know that our stock C5 headlights suck. I put new brighter bulbs in and now I need to adjust them up. How do you do that? I tried with the rod that comes out of the inside of the housing but nothing is happening? What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for any help out there!
There are two headlight adjusters. There is one that comes out of the side of the housing and one that lies behind the headlight, kind of under the housing. I believe that the one that adjusts the beam up or down is the one under the housing. The easiest way to get to it is to turn the lights on and then to the running light position on the stick. Next remove the 3 phillips screws and remove the black plastic headlight surround (Not the painted cover) from the housing. If you look behind the exposed headlight you should see the adjuster underneath.
Well, I am sure I have really screwed them up as I adjusted the heck out of the sides so no telling where the beam is going? Oh well! Thanks for the info! I will try again tonite.
I read somewhere you should adjust the lights with a full tank of gas, keep it on level ground and be approx. 25' from whatever wall / backdrop your using to visually see the beam pattern. not sure how how from the ground the beam should be. but this is a start.

The adjusters on the side move the headlight beam left or right. You can adjust it back to where you want it pretty easily. I adjust mine evey once in a while.
