New Stereo - Part Five
Well since I had all of the interior apart and I purchased a new gauge cluster bezel from Josh (Pace This) I figured why not do that as well.
So I researched the instructions to take out the gauge bezel and also with the help of Nouman (FactoryRaceCar) I changed out the gauge bezel with one that has highly polished rims. Many thanks to Nouman for helping me on the phone with this mod....

Here it is already out of the car....
After it was out of the car I move inside to a little warmer place to do the switch. In the dinning room at the table great work area but need more light....
The lights on the ends of the bezel had me stumped on how they came out. But after looking at them it was easy....
New bezel installed...
After I re-installed it had to take a pic of it. Looks great.... Thanks Josh...
This also came today via FedEx... My new Console Bezel from C5 Kidd..
Also yesterday I received this, the backup camera that will be mounted in the third brake light... It's small..... Color camera, wide angle mirror image.... Many thanks to Z06-Jim for recommending it to me....
Looks like I may be at the end of the tunnel with this mod. Hopefully my next update will be the finale of the new stereo....

If all goes well I will be doing the same this time next year.

Actually working by the instructions from vette essentals it was not that bad. Had the laptop right in the car so I could go step by step. Only got hung up on getting it apart, especally the light bars on the ends of the cluster.

You're a working fool Wayne!! Great job on all of the work so far!! Major PITA in regards to some of it but you are doing a nice job!!
One question... You waited how long to get back that bezel and it's umm... what color??? Black??? Wasn't it black BEFORE you sent it out??? You sure C5-Kidd isn't trying to pull a fast one on ya???

That will be the Finale post of the New Stereo.... Plan WAY Ahead when sending you bezel to C5 Kidd. Mine took almost five weeks.
Also search the general forurm for parts one through four. I tried to be as detailed as possible with what I did..... That should be a good guide....
