Sob Sob Sob
First items (1) to (4)- These issues occur under one extended visit all directly related to the return of the car to the garage due to the highlighted problems of heavy tyre wall cracking and "Rear right" warning. The advice of just fill it up with air and the subsequent patch was to prove some very bad advice.
Goodyear Middle East advise me that this was stupidly dangerous on behalf of the dealership. The garage had no way of knowing how long the car had been driven with the puncture prior to trade in and could easily have resulted in a burst.
The cracking on the tyre walls due to heavy sun light exposure again highlighted the same problem. As a GM approved car they are not allowed under their own warrenty to sell cars with repaired tyres. The tyres here cost $1000 a corner so that would have been a pretty $4000that i would have had to fork out if I didnt persue this with the garage and GM. I felt paying this one week after purchasing the car would be a little unfair and instead handed my car back (as instructed by GM) and launched a formal case as the garage refused to agree. In the end 4 top men from good year flew over to Dubai to inspect and final instruct the dealership to repair.
Next Items (5) to (8)
A few months later my car refuses to start. I have full breakdown warrenty with the garage.. I call them to collect. They advise me i have no warrenty and again a huge dispute takes place. Finally i call the manager threaten to relocate his face if he dosnt resolve the matter in a prompt amicable mannor and understanding the serious nature of my tone. They send out a pick up ... the wrong one... one that cant pick up corvettes... Finally when they do take it in the manage to scratch both my car and the wifes car when we went to collect my car.
rc69wc lets review your comments.
As for everything else, that car has to go back for service to ensure the car has a "full service history" and to avoid complications at the annual registration / checkup by the police.
Off to write more bull**** somewhere else.
They have said both the window regulators are about to go and should be replaced. They want $2000 to fix both.. I have held off at this time until you guys let me know if it is good value or not
Next up they said all the break pads need replaced, i again have said no as the pads are still strong. They want $450ish to fit new pads...
I have no idea if this is good value or not but after they stamp my service book i will take it to an independent to get their advice. Indeed "West Coast Customs" have opened a workshop here so i might make them my new service center lol
They are however replacing all rubber window rubbers.. only the big man knows how they will get on with that
What did you do, drive up to that place in an Enzo? They're trying to rip you a new one!
I still say you should pay for me to fly over there and fix it for you. Like I said before, I work for food and women!

Recieved a call from the Garage: "Your car will not be ready this evening and the window regulator must be replaced".
So temper flaring, i went to see my car. He identified that the seals couldnt be at fault as the window wasnt closing fully. On inspection of an other C5 i was inclined to agree. But as the car was delivered this way I could never have come to this conclusion. (it goes up and down at an angle) but still he is guessing and still hasnt replaced the rubber seals that he was supposed to.
They have been instructed to open the door panel and actual look at the regulator to see if it is totally gone and regardless fit full new rubber seals. Even for looking and attempting a temp repair they would like 330Dhs / $90 on top of the 1200 Dhs / $326 for the service (cough $25 oil change cough)
I have given the go ahead and advised that the car better be ready at 7am tommorow morning or no more threats.. I will go william wallace on their ***.
Wife is said i am not allowed to take the car back, and that if she has to pick me up from work tommorow again she will be taking control of matters
Big Man I would love to fly you out - but I am the richest poorest person you ever did meet due to my lovely wife.
Oh their was a brand new ZO6, in bits beside my car and the smell was terrible lol. Some guy got it new, ragged the life out of it and well the engine exploded.... remove the hood
made me laugh - has like 2000km on it.
