You need to replace your oil pressure sensor, do a search, plenty of great posts.

The way to check is to turn ignition on, with engine off, if it reads any pressure your sensor is bad. You should not have any oil pressure with engine not running.

You have 3 options: 1) pull intake manifold and replace. 2) Pull intake manifold and install a remote sensor setup (easy to change next time), 3) remove your windshield wiper panel and cut hole in body and replace.

Make sure your connector is clean of all oil and only torque to 15 ft-lbs. Multiple failures are common. Some say the NAPA part is better than GM's.

Mine is pegged too. It's my next project. Here is a link to doing the job. It's under the intake, I am going to reroute it while I am in there.

Either you guys are building your LS engines too "tight" or like oldvetter mentioned your OP sender is toast. Check out the sticky at the top of the "C5 Tech Forum" for options on the replacement procedure.

Here u go Kurtis. See my post #272 for details on this procedure plus a relocate. I had to do this 3 times over about a 1.5 yr period so please do this once and do it right the first time and make it easier for yourself in the future.
