Default Coupe Or Zo6

Here it is in a nut shell, I have a lemon C6 coupe that gm is buying back from me. I have decided to go back to a C5. I am having a hard time choosing between the coupe and the Z06. I like the back window of the coupe, but all the ones I have found have the f45 suspension and I don't like it. I like the performance and suspension of the Zo6 but don't care for the back window as much as the coupe. Any insite would be much appreciated.

seeems like you like the coupe over the Z...so I would just be patient and find the a nice clean coupe when it comes up.

Good luck and welcome back to C5!!

The rear window on the Z06 can create some issues with blind spots, but the Z06 is my choice.

I voted for a coupe because i have a coupe. The Z06 is a nice car but has a fixed roof where the coupes roof can be taken off and then has the feel of a convertable so its like two cars in one roof on ,roof off .With the Z06 you can't take the roof off.

I owned a z06 and now have an A4 coupe. I liked my z better. But it would be easy to get the same performace from the coupe if thats what your looking for.

Well coming from a previous 99 FRC owner and now a 03 Z06 owner you know what my choice would be. IMO the hardtop style looks much more "exotic" and unique. Drive a coupe and then a Z06 that will help you make your decision hehe

50 hp is pretty easy to come up with in this engine. You can always add a blower and be really happy.

coupes look better! aren't they more aerodynamic? if your going to mod, get the coupe, you will end up with almost the same hp? and if your not going to race around the track you don't need the best suspension

The coupe was the choice for the C5-R program, can't
argue that platform's success.

It's all about personal preference.. I prefer the Z06 myself but since it seems like you like the looks of a coupe better, I'd keep on searching. Just be patient and I'm sure you'll find one with Z51 suspension sooner or later and then you can mod it as much as you want, to make it feel like a Z06.

If you like open air driving, get the coupe. If you need plenty of storage space, get the coupe.

If you like excellent performance bone stock, the Z06 will deliver more than the coupe.

Tough choice - maybe try and drive an example of each and then see which you really like.
