I always thought round and smooth looked much better than sharp and chiseled in car design.

I wouldn't say it is butt ugly. I do hate the front end of the C6, but I do love the tail lamps and rear diffuser. Everything else on the C6 is meh. The curves on the C5 are just gorgeous, can't argue that.

The C5 is definitely one beautiful piece of work. According to the book I'm reading (
All Corvettes Are Red ), the C5 almost never was. It originally was intended as a 1993 model. It was going to be the 40th anniversary edition. As it turned out, it became the 50th anniversary edition ('03).
It's not that the C6 is ugly, it's just different.
Maybe the C7 will be better. Let's hope so.

NOT FAIR !!
This is the C5 forum.
I traded a LS1 powered 57 2 dr HT/C4 Front and rear IRS project for a C5 and HAVENT looked back TOO MANY TIMES .
Hard to beat a 50s CHEVY for LOOKS.
Still to much street rodder in my soul.

I love the view of the curves on the hood seen from the driver's seat. When I'm driving I have to remind myself to keep my eyes on the road
