Question about Z06 Airboxes...

This is a '02-04 Z06 air filter assembly lid...it has an opening of approx. 10 square inches. You can buy this new from GMPARTSHOUSE or GMPARTSDIRECT for about $55-60 or used for less.

Quite honestly, you should ditch the entire GM OEM airbox assembly. They are only a hinderance.
ANY aftermarket intake is a HUGE improvement.

HOT WHEELS! Excellent MOD! You did well and YES it will flow more air than a STOCK c5 Z box. It may NOT flow more air than other aftermarket intake systems BUT,,,,,,,,,,,if you want to retain the stock system, your doing well! and your NOT far from the aftermarket improvement !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MAF = mass air flow sensor. It reads how much air the engine is using in GRAMS per SECOND.
Who are you ordeing the intake from and what brand is it???????

...I wasn't looking to make this into anything other than what it is...a cosmetic improvement over oem and probably airflow. It keeps the bugs out as a side benefit...
