Crashed
Anyway, the insurance lady will call tomorrow. The damage is just the the body panels, rims and left suspension. I slid into a curb and it took the whole wheel and everything with it. What can I say, live and learn.
On another note. I'll have the rear end looked at after the repairs to see if anything was not working. I'll post pics on tuesday.
Be sure you get a good body shop of your choice not the insurance companies.
If he doesn't want to hear the truth, then why the hell would he even bother posting this thread?
Honestly, what good does this post do for ANYONE and why would anyone post proof they can't handle a car like a Corvette.
By posting, he opened himself up to hear all opinions. I have no sympathy for him...
When someone like this (that can get a car, so he says, 4 feet in the air, alone on the road) and wreck the car hurts or worse yet kills a friend or family member of yours, you'll feel differently, trust me....
One other thing, you say "It can happen to the best of us." What this guy did will NEVER happen to me...... Guaranteed. I know how to drive and handle a car, I respect the cars capabilitiies and respect others on the road, and I know Physics and how it applies to driving.
...that's why they're called accidents...

That's a cute saying and graphic. Unfortunately, some people don't live when others like this guy are learning....
Take a look to the left and up an inch or two then take a guess why I feel so strongly about the subject of this post.
<========================= No longer with us becasue of an irresponsible young driver that could not handle what he was driving....

The term 'live' was a general statement, or at least could be interpreted that way in this situation.
I am sorry for your loss.
I think that we would all prefer some kind of satisfactory closure.
I am sorry that you will not... ever
This thread has already been blown out of proportion and obviously everyone has their own perception and their own legitimate logic and reasoning for their points of view. People are being torn down and ripped apart over their choice of words and their individual opinions. It doesnt seem that this thread is gearing us toward a better end. My mistake was in thinking that it was.
I will bow out now because it was NOT my intention to offend anyone.
Other than having a computer, a Corvette, and the ability to communicate, this is not even any of my business.
Right?
