Default Modfluenza

Is it just me, or do I see a disease related to the forum? I just joined the forum a couple of months ago and at that time I was perfectly happy with my Y2K Coupe. Its the fastest car I've ever owned and definitely the coolest. After reading and participating in this forum, I am developing the urge to follow the path of most of the members and start modifying my perfectly wonderful car. I've been searching the web for the best catback system, the coolest wheels etc. etc. Prior to joining the forum, I thought I had a great sounding exhaust, and the polished thin spokes are the envy of all my friends. I think Modfluenza has got me!

Can someone suggest a remidy to this disease short of trading the Vette on a Civic? I am very concerned that if my immunity totally disappears, the results could be financially disabling. The term "Corvette Tax" has got me very worried.

Has anyone been cured of Modfluenza after being infected?

Maybe I should just cave in and follow those of you that have already bowed to the disease.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I promised my wife for once I would keep a car stock. Had it for 2 months and already put 3k in it.

I know I'm infected

Oh man, I thought that I would keep mine stock but.............gears, American Racing headers, x-pipe, hi-flo cats, Corsa cat backs, Vararam, etc............... You can figure it out from there. I caught the disease. Embrace it, it feels sooooo goooood.

Yep, me too. Mod'ing is half the fun. For me, it makes you even love the car all the more because its a customization to your tastes.

Gee, this looks like a good place to start I'll bet they don't include the dreaded Corvette Tax!

I sure haven't found the cure - and doubt anyone else has either short of a severe lack of cash.

"Performance Hood Seals". I love it. It's like saying "Octane Boosting Side Spears" ...talking like those Hood Seals are going to lower temperatures...you'd probably achieve lower temperatures if you climbed onto your hood while driving and blew hard into the intakes. LOL!
