I would never consider aftermarket wheels to be a performance upgrade, and certainly not one of the best mods or ways to spend money to make a Z06 faster. There's not much out there as light as the factory Speedlines, and even fewer that are lighter. Those that are cost some serious coin that could be better spent elsewhere.
Just received the wheels yesterday afternoon. I weighed the wheels on a brand new high-end bathroom scale that I got for Christmas. It seems to be pretty accurate. I layed the wheels flat on the scale for a more accurate reading. Well, here you go:
Front 17X9.5 weighs 25.8 lbs.
Rear 18x10.5 weighs 31.0 lbs.
The wheels look pretty good. I'll post some pics after installation, and my thoughts. I'm waiting for my rotors/pads/stainless lines to arrive before installation, so it might be about a week or so.
Below are the new wheels I purcashed from TomZwheels..
F/21lbs
r/23/lbs
and they are great!
I know they are not motorsport, but they are aftermarket and the weights are not bad for not being OEM
I would be afraid the metallurgy is not what it should be on parts made in China. I have had problems with brake rotors made in China warping. I changed to Wagners made in the USA, and never had another problem.
I have also seen equipment like pumps that look great, but the shafts and internal parts may not be the correct hardness and they wear out much faster.

dcd58, are those the wheels without the faux rivets? I don't see them on his site? Are yours the "Factory reproductions" brand or the "O.E. Concepts" brand? Thanks!
