Reset your average, then drive for a day or so without your loud pedal getting some love. You'll be amazed.

It can vary A LOT. In Hawaii... my average was typically 13-15, because it's nothing but stoplights every 1/8 mile. When my wife got to Idaho, she tells me now it averages 26-27.

Drove from New York City to Key West for a total of 3600 miles round trip. My '03 Vette got 29.6mpg. and you know I ran it up in the stratosphere a few times.....

Two recent trips.. 2000 C5 Auto

Trip #1
Portland Oregon to Bakersfield California.. All business No stops except for the bathroom and gas, No cruise control, 70-75MPH All freeway = 32.4MPG

Trip # 2
Portland Oregon to Port Townsend Washington , Return via Olympic National Park. Lots of curves 25 miles of it behing a Coast GUARD TRUCK HAULING A BOAT ! Somebody shot a whale.
