I received a letter today, (I'll bet that many of you will too), that invited me to sell back my Corvette. I don't want to do that, but the letter goes on to say, "Bring this letter in and pick up your 5 free Michigan lottery tickets". So, once I hit Submit New Thread I'm going to check them out. What luck!
We have to give Marketing some credit for being creative, and it says, "We are in desperate need to aquire several pre-owned Corvettes by Dec. 29th to fulfill special requests." I hope that they succeed. But I like my car and only went for the free lottery tickets, (and a handfull of their free mints).

I've received these from the dealers we've bought from recently as well. The Wife and I feel even if they offered us a new C6 even up trade (I would expect to pay sales tax) we would pass.

Believe me ,,, they are not doing you any favors ,,, all they want is one thing. That is to take more money off you. These guys are not in the business to give stuff away.. Keep us posted let us know how it turned out.
Another note - I was in the dealer for an alignment, and they had 4 new Zs on the show room floor. I was staring at them (because I couldnt help myself). The sales mgr came up and said "What if I give you a ridiculous offer on your car out there and took $1500 off MSRP for the new Z?". I asked, "What are they going for $68K?" and he replied, "Try $78K". Sounded HIGH to me. I looked back at my car, and then at the Z, I easily said "No thanks". It was tempting but overall an easy decision for me....besides, he had 4 on the floor - I expect a much better deal than that.
Lesson: be careful of dealer visits.....TEMPTATION!

Guess I'll wait and see if my dealer sends letters like that out, but I doubt it will happen. They just don't do much in the way of volume sales on the Corvette.
