I'm a Jay Leno fan, too -- a true "car guy." His credibility is high on things automotive, and his garage is full of interesting vehicles. But, go back to the article and notice he gets his Vette's for "free" from GM. It's amazing how often those who can afford perks don't have to pay for them.
You know, that's very true...to a degree. But unlike you and I, Jay Leno can't just roll down Hollywood Blvd and pick up a hooker without causing a International incident.
Nobody would bat an eye if you and I did it in Homie the Clown suits. Being broke and poor HAS its privileges!
"People won't necessarily want to key it. If you park a Ferrari in Beverly Hills, and people walk by, they're probably saying ‘F You.' Just an attitude that they have. There's some perception. With the Corvette, people know that this must belong to a guy who's worked really hard and saved up his money so he could get this car, if that makes any sense at all."
Oh, I don't like the interior.' Well, shut up! Go get a living room set then. What do you want to pay for? Do you want to pay for performance, or do you want to pay for faux carbon fiber and all that other nonsense?"
‘It's a Chevy; you can fix it with a hammer.'
