It amazes me with comments
people that have always wanted a Vette but dont for some reason or another. People that have had 60's-70's hotrods. Comments go from
the Corvette isnt what it used to be, or not knowing just what these cars can do, to .."my god", I cant believe it, I had no idea, good thing I didnt race one the other night, the ride is smooth, handles like on rails,
...on and on.. For me, after owning the car since the showroom floor, I sometimes forget just what I have. Maybe it just takes for someone to make me again realize the "package" that I drive, and it just brings me back to the first time I drove one. The general public really doesnt know about these cars. They are still remembering the Corvettes of yesteryear and the quality of those. I have found that most people that drive "other" performance cars are also clueless to the Corvettes
capability and ride. So the next time you are feeling like the car wasnt like you thought it was when you bought it....take someone for a ride, if you trust them, let them drive it. Sharing the Corvette experience that we are lucky to drive with others really makes you come back into focus with what we have.

I share the Corvette experience with anybody who shows interest! Part of owning my dream car! Thanks for putting it into words!

The truth be known, most that are not Vette nuts like us wouldn't know one from another. All they recognize is the name, and associate it with all the truth or BS they've heard about it from friends or others - with NO actual appreciation for what a monster these cars are. And, from what I've noticed, a lot of them believe their own BS, as a rule. Boy what an eye opener it is to them to hit triple digits...and way beyond that
in mere seconds, and then fly into a corner and have the Vette follow it like it is on rails. Gotta love it!I love all Vettes, so I hope y'all don't mind if a C4 guy (90 ZR-1) lurks here occasionally.
Hope to see ya on the cruise at Bloomington Gold next springP.
She commented while following me on several occasions.... "I hate to say this, but that really is a very pretty car and I am glad you got it after all the adversity you overcame to have one."
This was of course after many thousands of dollars of modifications. I have to hide the "official aftermarket tally sheet" of expenses.
Rice is nice but Vette's are better.
