Default Driver side window and Door lock won't work, Need help

After I lowered my driver side mirror last night I smelled something burning and after I tried to close my window it wouldn't close. Also my driver side door won't lock as well. There is no clicking sound when I press the window up/lock buttons. What could be my problem?
What parts do I need to get if fixed. Thanks

Here is the thread on the module. Yours might be beyond repair though.

Went to the Dealership and they want $260 for a new door control module . I am not 100% sure that that is the problem therefore not willing to buy it just yet since they do not do returns on electronics.
Took my Driver side control module out and it looks brand new, can't see anything that would make me question it. Looked at all wires and they looked good too.
Next I pulled my codes:
U1160H - Loss of communications with LDCM
AO-LDCM:
B2284H - Battery #2 Fault
BO-RFA:
U1096H - Loss of communication with IPC
U1064H - Loss of communication with BCM
U1016H - Loss of communication with PCM

If anyone could help me with this issue I would really appreciate it.

Since you have the panel off, open the door control module and smell it since you stated you smelled something burning. The smell will still be there and it will be clear as mud if it stinks. Circuit boards and electrical shorts always have a very familiar smell.

I had the same problem in my FRC. It was door control module. I bought mine used from a forum vendor. I think I paid $100.00. Check side ads under used parts. I used either Vette2Vette or Gene's Kar Shop. I don't remember which.

Here is what I would do. I assume the passenger side works, so remove it and install it on the driver's side. If it is the door control module, your window, locks and mirror will work again. BUT if there is a short in the mirror wiring, (that is what you were using when you smelled the smoke) you could possibly damage the other door control module as well. So, the choice is yours. I would swap them out to test, but be ready to shut it down at the first hint of that burning smell. The other option is to let the dealer fix it, but that could cost you as much as two door control modules anyway. Good luck and let us know what happens.

Bought a brand new control module from the Dealership and tried it, and its not doing anything.

What should I look into next?

Did you check the fuses? If you smelled something burning, then chances are you popped a fuse too. Look under the floor board on the passenger side for the fuse panel. If the fuse is good, check the wiring connectors in the rubber boot as shown by Bill Curlee. Let us know what you find.

Checked the fuse and it works fine. I'll check on wiring connectors in the rubber boot tommorrow.

After checking everything possible, I finally found out what my problem was: Blown Left Door Power fuse

After replacing it, I tried my old Door control module and it works fine. I guess I will be selling my new one that I just bought from the dealer

Good work, sorry to mislead you on the module but something caused that fuse to blow and you smelled something hot. Might happen again depending on certain circumstances. I would hang onto the module for a bit.

Well, when I checked the Door control module fuse for the left door it was fine, but I had no clue that there is a second fuse that controls the power to the left door. My dad is the one that figured out my problem and he is a certified Mercedes Benz mechanic. I wished that I had taken my car to him before I decided to buy a new door control module. Oh well, we all learn from our mistakes

That is why I asked you to post your results here, so we could all learn. Glad you found the problem.
