You can buy the clear license plate cover from Corvette Central and the Duplicolor Torch Red spray paint for a total of $30-$35.
Spray paint only the INSIDE of the clear license plate cover. The paint won't chip and it looks like it has a nice smooth finish.

They were originally designed for European sales. Saw one on Fleabay. The clear is great, then you paint.

Are you painting this using only a spray can of the factory paint? Does that turn out nice enough to match? Any other work needed? Looks good.
