So my passenger window was working fine and then a couple hrs later decided not to go down, but just click instead. I tried banging the crap outta it cuz i heard that could fix it but got nothing.
Also heard it could be a relay but you have to do some soldering/un-soldering and i don't have these skills needed
I was curious if it could be something else or if there is a way to maybe just obtain the whole circuit bored the relay is on and replace that.
Hoping this isn't a serious fix since I'm just recovering from getting my clutch to quite sticking to the floor! Just seems to be one problem after another with this thing...sigh....
I'd say the choice is whether you want to save $$ or time. Replace the relay and its cheap but a lot of effort. Replace the door module and its more $$ but simpler. Either way you need to strip down the door panel.
Mine has stopped twice. Both time I've removed door inner skin, & speaker, to reveal power window motor. A tap on the end of the motor with a ball peen hammer fixed it. I will look into a more permanent motor replacement after my car is fast enough! As I understand it if relay clicks its not your problem, its the motor brushes.

Many people dont use the window controls for many months such as the passenger side window....Absent use will cause this problem.
I try and put both windows down and up at least once a week to keep the motors working

Well if anything I use my windows to much! The second I start the car I always put the windows down
hmmmm My 04 did the very same thing March '07, passenger window stopped working completely. Fortunately it happened while in the 'up' position. First and only warranty work. As of yet...hope I'm not jinxing myself.

yea mine is in the up position also, but not under warranty lol. What did they do to fix it?
The repair at the local Chevrolet dealership cost (warranty used) about $600, luckily I only paid my deductible of $100... now I wish I had purchased the $50 or $0 deductible.

Exact same story here. I was able to beat on the passenger door and get it working again for about 2 months (it survived 7 years of daily use), then it froze in the up position again - finally had the dealer replace the entire window regulator assy in BOTH doors last month under $100-deductable GMPP. Driver's side was not "sticking", but rather was "slipping" when I lowered it for the first few inches - just a minor nuisance, but there was slack in the regulator cable and would not have lasted much longer.
