My turn signals are not working 100% of the time. They seem to work when they want and they do not stay on long once they actually turn on. Any suggestion? Fuse change?

Likely the 4 way flasher button...........common problem.
From what you say its probably one of two things - either the hazard warning flasher or the turn signal switch itself. The fact that they start to work and then stop makes me think it may be the turn switch on the stalk.
When they stop working leave the turn selected and try recycling the 4 way flasher a few times quite firmly. If that clears the problem there's your culprit. If not its probably the T/S switch. You could try some electrical cleaner squirted into the switch itself on the stalk. Thats been known to fix the problem. If not, then you'll need to change out the switch. There are How Tos on the forum.

The dealer I go to says the 4 way flasher is something they replace with regularity Not just on Vettes either.
When mine went out, it would work on cool non-humid days, but when it was warn, it was flaky. Next time it doesn't work, hit your hazard button and see if it comes back on. If it does, it is your flasher. And it will get worse.
The flasher is behind the hazard button and the dealership will charge you about $350 to change it. I know because I had my done before I read about the fix on the forum. If I had it to do again I would have attempted to fix it myself.
If it is your hazard/flasher unit (most likely), and you are fair with fixing things, there are good instructions here on how to remove the center console and radio etc to get to the unit.
I've said this before, but once I got to mine, I ended up putting the old switch back in place just to hold the button and keep it flush with the dash....but.....there was enough wire harness that I routed it down to my driver-side footwell and it peeks out from behind the plastic panel that meets the carpet. SO.....WHEN it goes bad again, all I have to do is snap off the unit and snap a new one on. No more tearing the dash apart.
I mentioned this once before on a thread like this, my signals and brake light went intermittent while on a cruise. I cleaned up the grounds under the hood, one each side, and the one rear ground.
I've had no problem since then. Maybe a coincidence?
Try spraying an electronic contact cleaner ( be sure you use PLASTIC SAFE) directly into the space between the flasher switch and it's housing. Exersize the switch 20 times or so and it'll work fine. Mine started acting up 3 years ago and I've had to do this twice, takes all of a minute. Sure beats an hour or more of my time tearing the old switch out or paying $300 to a dealer. Especially when the "new" switch will probably fail AGAIN!!! Ron
Power for your turn signals are routed through the hazard flasher.
Intermittient failure is a frequent problem in the C5.
you can take out the dash to fix it a la the dealership and then worry about squeaks and rattles or you can do it by removing the radio using a technique posted by a CF member. It is an easier, quicker approach that avoids the squeak/rattle issue associated with dash removal.

I had this problem and bought the hazard switch for $42 and then got intimidated by the install and did not do it. A member here named Richard makes a wiring harness for hyperblink of LED tail lights that I used to fix my turn signals problem and I have the stock lights. His harness goes right under the knee bolster, so 4 torx screws and 30 minutes later I was in business. In the last six weeks no problems. Just a quick plug and go. Contact Richard here wingwaxers@earthlink.net I think the price was $49 and well worth the easier install.
Yes, try the "cleaner" method first by all means. If it works, great. If not, the console access thing isn't that tough to do as opposed to removing the dash. When I pulled mine apart, I learned a lot about my car though.....that is always worth it. Found some "extra" electronics too left over from some accessory that apparently was removed before sale to me.
