I'm now driving my C5 as a daily driver. I also have the GM Bra that I used when I took longer trips. Is this something I can leave on all the time now, even if it gets wet?
None of the vinyl bra manufacturers recommend leaving a bra on the car when it's wet...more accurately, allowing a wet bra to remain on the car as it drys. It could possibly harm the paint. It probably has to do with the wet underside layer and dirty water/abrasion. A clear bra shouldn't be an issue.

I dont care much for bras, Im not fond of front end covers for cars either.
Me neither.
BUT, being a black vette I can imagine what the front clip will look after a few months of driven. (BTW, it's been a garage queen for almost it's entire life so the front is still in great shape, and I want to keep it that way. )

You'll be very happy with the Xpel. It seems like I've posted this 100 times. If you decide to DIY, the kit comes with a video. It honestly is not that hard to do. A big side benefit of this is that the kit comes with plenty of extra material. I had enough to do the entire rockers up to the seam 10" up the back of the rocker and the painted inner lips of all four wheel wells. I live on a 2/10 mile long dirt road and my car has NO stone chips. I do however need to redo the rockers because the 3M material has gotten so blasted by rocks.

I just found a dealer in town who installs the Xpel. I sent them an email tonight asking for an estimate.
How much prep work was necessary? Did you have to remove all the wax/polish before installing? Thanks again.

No matter who does it they are going to have to wash the car with Dawn and should claybar it. I'm telling you, the only people who say to pay $500 for an install are ones that haven't tried it themselves.

Assuming you buy the full kit, I would recommend doing it in this order to fit a learning curve from flattest to most curved:
Headlight covers, hood, front fender lower wheel wells, lower front bumper (2 pieces) top of front bumper, mirrors. Then make up some paper templates of the rockers and painted wheel well lips. The extra material that came with my kit was enough to do this and more. I wrapped the rockers a little up and into the sills. If you look at most C5 daily drivers you'll see the paint around the lower rear edge door jamb gets pretty beat up. You can stretch and curve the 3M material right into that spot.

I would not leave it on wet - I even take it off when it starts to rain. I've heard that letting the bra dry on the car can potentially cause clouding of the paint.
