Yes ... RWHP, aero drag + rolling resistance and gearing (which determines RWT and tangential propulsion force at the tire/road interface) are all factors in a force balance equation that will determine the "drag limited" top speed at WOT. This is a little more in the rocket science domain.

You were right in the other thread, and you're right here.
I added a little into your response, in case someone sees that as a variable.

But through all that... the rpm / mph relationship would remain fixed.

But of course ... like I said, that part is NOT rocket science.

This is stinky bait.

Butt more RPM with a tailwind might show more RPM for given speed with a slush box.

Other wise B(F)S. rpm, gears, *zero* slippage anywhere is always going to be equal load or no load.

This is incomprehensible.

Since there are a lot of older automatics out there without lockup converters, you might find a car that does this.

Tailwinds and headwinds only work on airplanes.
Tailwinds, headwinds, flight attendants, pilots, and mechanics also work on airplanes.

You probably meant tailwinds and headwinds work only on airplanes.

(Had a great english teacher in high school.) Goodbye.

Well, to "work on"
could implie that you mighten of gotten "blown off" by a flight attendant.........better to say "work inside", better chance for more of a thrilling ride............
