Thanks alot fellas i think im gonn go with the black and black out the tail lights and tint the windows and everything ... i see alot of chrome and i think the black is going to look extremly sick... if not ill sell them and go for the chrome its no big deal... thanks again
Chrome has been popular for many, many years (even in the 60s), but the younger set is choosing gloss black or gold with a polished lip. Here is San Diego, I can always tell the age of the driver by looking at his or her wheels - older crowd = chrome, younger = gloss black. I kinda like the change, since most factory wheels are either silver or chrome.
So, go with something that stands out and says that you're among the new generation!
I think it depends whether you want classy or nasty. I've had both and I like nasty better.
I think chrome says cruiser and black says racer. I might be a little of both but I prefer a dark colored wheel. I am going with a set of 08 comp grey wheels soon and my black powdercoated / clear coated Z06 wheels will be for sale soon .

I'd say this is a classic case of a "Racer Wannabe"......
As for a white car I would go with chrome. But if you did a black out kit for the lights and black rims it would look good. I took a set of black Z06 rims and had them powder coated gloss black with no lip. Then again I have a black car that is completly blacked out. Just my 2 cents
i think chrome looks awesome on a dark colored car. But dark colored wheels on a light color give it some contrast and stand out they dont look factory.
GREAT post by WKMCD. I think either look great, but I'm biased toward black wheels. My car already came with chrome Z06 wheels, but I want to replace them with a black wheel/polished lip.
Have you checked out the NEW C6-Z06 Motorsport wheels? They have some cool looking wheels available.

Chrome. Just another reminder of how old I am. Thanks a lot.
Black, do solid black, though w/ out the rivets or polished lip & do red calipers. Stay away from the trend, and be unique, everyone has chrome thats just my opinion but Im pretty anti bling. However if you go that way I think polished looks way better than chrome
