We just finished the Proto - Types for the Black Chrome SS Inserts and the C5 Radio and AC *****. (the regular Chrome too)
I have not seen them yet, but our manufacturer says they are to die for.
I should have the proto-types in my grubby little hands by mid to late next week.
If they are as good as expected, we will launch into a Major Black Chrome project...
Just keeping you all up to speed...
Peace
Chip
That would be awesome. I was interested in the Black Chrome look for under the hood as well as in the interior. I was going to have a friend dip some items for me including my exhaust tips and caps but I think I'll wait to see what you get in.
Sounds great Chip, can't wait. I've been interested in Black Chrome for years. I was told that it doesn't hold up so I stopped looking. I looked for over a year and got that same response from more than one vendor. Can you give any information on life expectency compared to regular chrome? Thanks.

I can't speak for Chip or his products, but I've had a black chrome rear license place surround on my car for 4 years, and I took it off my Lincoln LS where it had been on for a year or 2 and it still looks like the day I bought it.
please keep the prices reasonable for the black chrome SS lettering. when they came out from the "other" manufacturer of SS inserts, they wanted something like +$100 over the cost of standard letters.

Is "black chrome" a regular chroming process or a "bluing" process like dipping a gun?
Jim, it`s hard to describe this process/finish in words, if you`re considering anything in black-chrome you should drop by the MVCC on Sat and check out Ted`s black-chrome wheels on his red C6/ZO6, they look bitchin.
