Wanted to change my wheels and discovered my floor jack would not go down far enough. Waz about to go down to the local Kragens when I remembered that my DD Nissan Altima has a scissors jack. And yes it fits and works great. Also looks like it will compress about 2-3 inches below stock C5 height. I'll be able to use it once I lower it - and its free!!!
I've read several threads here about getting a Jaguire or Mercedes jack from the junk yard but I bet there are a lot more Altima jacks available and probably cheaper too. Probably any import sedan jack would work.

I bought an aluminum scissors jack (Mazda RX7 or Porsche) for my car. It weights next to nothing, collapses down to about 3 1/2" and will lift a C5/Z06 with ease.
Those low profile jacks are great, I have one also but they do not work on a C5 where there is no air in the tire.. ( Not a run flat ) once the side wall collapses.. you have no room to get to the A frame and no room if you use pucks...So here is a heads up for you non run flat folks... let all the air out of a tire ( recreate a blow out in your driveway )... see if you can get that jack under there then... here is some help on this issue though... for non run flat members.. you have a compressor on board... you have to blow up the tire even though its flat in order to get a low profile jack under there... hope its not off the bead because if its flat you wont get a jack under there. ( Do a dry run ) just some friendly advice.
