Default New Corvette Owner

I purchased an 03 Mellenium Yellow Z06 50 Anniversary in Sept. 07. It only had 5,785 miles on it in showroom condition. I was so amazed at how beautiful this car is. The sound, the power and the handling made it a no brainer for me. I sold my 02 Jaguar XK8 convertible to buy this car and I have not looked back. I only got to drive it about six weeks before the Michigan winter hit so it is in storage now. Can't wait for winter to break up so I can break it out! I look forward to this forum as an opportunity to learn how to get the most out of this most pleasurable experience, driving this car.

I live in southwest MI, Berrien County. Where is Washington Twp. MI? I also notice you are a recent member too. Have you owned your Vette Long? What do you have?

Nah, I had 63,000 on the 02 XK8. I still had some good value in it and I didn't give it away but it had no warantee left and I had already put 1300 in repairs just this past summer with another 1300 likely next year. My Z has GMPP left until 07/2010 and of course only just under 6,000 miles. It is like buying a new car with full warantee. Besides it corners better than the JAG and has more power not to mention a much younger feel to me.

Hi HUBBSFD -

Congrats and welcome!

One of my local friends bought a Jag vert back in 98 - he still has it.

I was able to take it for a day several years ago.

It is a gorgeous car (pearl creme with light-color interior).

It felt powerful but heavy. A nice power cruiser.

He gave it to his daughter a couple of years ago when she turned 16.

best regards -

Default New 04 ZO6

Just purchased an '04 ZO6 Commemorative. Had an '07 ZO6 but finances forced me to sell it at an aweful loss (I paid way over MSRP). Couldn't convince my wife to get a 3rd job.

Car has 5100 miles and feels brand new. It ain't anywhere near what the 07 was (505 versus 405 horses) but she is a sweetheart. Still very quick and a darn sight more affordable. Wife won't need to get the 3rd job. Didn't like Lemans blue until I saw it in person. It was love at first sight. Also, the decals on hood, top and trunk really make her get the looks.
