close call - minor damage
driving down I-270 today, a pickup truck in the right lane kicked up a hub cap (I don't think it was theirs). The thing came bouncing my way. I looked up and there was no one behind me. Slammed on the brakes and lined up the car to straddle it. No such luck. The damn thing hit the car
Pulled over, got out, and... hit near the center of the license plate cover
BIG scratch - almost looks like a crack. If I hadn't braked, it would've landed on the hood
Anyone got a pewter plate cover they want to part with?

That sucks but look on the bright side, it hit an easliy replaced part. Did you post in the for sale section? You could also stop by a body shopp and see if they could fix it for you.

If you find a replacement, it looks like you have a good spare to do the front air screen mod that was posted a month or 2 back.

Glad it didn't do any more damage than that. Try Gene at the Karshop and see if he has a pewter cover.

Ditto about the windshield remark. That would have been aweful.
