I have a opportunity to purchase a used yank convertor and was wondering about the reliability of these convertors. The owner claims he has 4100 miles on it and removed it after he installed a turbo. Is this worth buying if the price is right or am I better off purchasing new. Thanks in advance for your help.
I always go new if the labor to replace the part if it fails is more then the amount of money I would save by purchasing used. In this case changing the TC is a lot of work so I would not chance it.
I have a Yank SS3200 in my car, and like it very much.
I would not buy used unless it is so cheap that you can send it to the company to have it checked out and/or rebuilt if needed. It is quite expensive to have installed.. Just my 2 cents worth...
Good luck with your decision....

I have a Yank 3500, seems to be a good converter. I too would have it checked by Yank.
