I was installing frostking to my hatch area and came across this piece that was laying loose behind the speaker housing. Whatis it?

Earlier today I did a google search for the part number and nothing came up. I just did a second search for the FCC number and it says "Automobile Security Receiver". Is that the receiver for the keyless entry fob?

Part number 10401040 was superceded by part number 19151480.

So what is with the long plastic piece going through it? Is that some sort of antenna?
