Default Help..HID lights

I am thinking of putting the low beam HID lights on my car
.
Why do the prices vary from 95.00 to 350.00.
What's the deal, am I missing something.
.
I am looking for a good product at a fair price.
.

Seems impossible to answer. I have looked at tons of ads for these kits online. They all appear to be pretty much the same. Most vendors seem to offer a 12-14 month replacement warranty. I am not confident that the more you spend on these the better the quality.........so I am taking the position that these are disposable items, like all other light bulbs. BTW, I paid $70 shipped for my kit that I use in my fogs.
Great light output but too early to tell how long these kits actually last in daily use.

If your on the fence than $229 from DJ Motors could be the best buy for you. Great product and support. He has sold over 200 on this forum I'm told with great reviews. I personnally have them on both my C5's for over year now and not one issue.

I just intalled the$229 set from DJ's, simple plug and play (no splicing) 1 hour job for the tool challenged, 2 hour for the perfectionist.
the difference is dramatic to say the least.

i too have found multiple kits... a guy local to me is selling it for 120, i thought, what the heck. bought one for my moms truck, it was simple, well made, german ballasts too. light output was fantastic!

you get what you pay for i guess... there are soo many kits out there, i understand. like jrprich said, too early to tell. i bought a set of McCullocks for my truck, back in like 02'. they are still going strong today! i paid 350 back then. so take it as you may...

I know that there has been LOADS of threads on this subject, but which bulb is better (look, crispness, visibility) 4300k, 6000k, 8000k for DJ's kit?

I don't have DJs, but the brightest is the 4300 but will look a bit off white when compared to a 6000 which is whiter but not quite as bright

I have 4300k in my HID ACA Low beams and 5000k in my HID fogs. The low beams seem much more powerful, but the fogs color looks better.......ya have to make a choice

Unless you want dim, blue lights, don't go over 6000k

IMO

most popular is 6000k, not to white not to blue. 2nd is 8000K which has a hint more blue than 6000k. The higher Kelvin temp, the bluer the bulb BUT you loose light lumens so the light output is less.

Default Bright but not annoying!

Guys, invest in DJ's lights. They will replace the need for flipping back and forth from dim to bright. The standard lights are really pathetic by comparison. One of the best mods to improve safety and visibilty.

I am going to vouch for DJ. I bought a set ealier this year and one of the ballasts went out. I called him up and w/o question he sent me a replacement ballast the next day, thanks DJ.

I called you like 6 times today but you never answered! I'll try again tomorrow to order a second set.

I also have DJs and am very satisfied! I had all of the normal headlight issues and some not so normal. Between my tear down of the headlights over and over and reinstall and DJ's help I know more about these darn things then I ever wanted to.

Great customer service and really stands behind the product!

I am thinking about putting DJs HID kit in my 2000 coupe, has anybody had any problem with the stock wiring, such as melting or burning up, because it gets too hot. I have heard so many different stories about it. I really like the setup and you guys seem to think it is good too. Let me know, thanks.

I have a 2000 convertible with the factory driving lights. I have the Z06 screens in front of the lights.

Would it be better to replace the whole driving light with an aftermarket bulb and lense, or put in DJ's low beam kit?
