It's seems as of late when I go over uneven roads my wheels wander a bit and I can feel it through the steering wheel(like it pulls from side to side).. Is my car out of alignment?? Any solution to this??
Your tires might be getting due for replacement or else I will suggest you having the alignment checked again. Have you replaced your shocks lately? They too might be due.
You'll find that at low speeds, such as slowing for a stop light, on uneven or "dipped" surfaces your car will try to dart one way or the other, no matter how perfect your alignment is. There's a lot of rubber on the road and the imperfections will try to pull the rubber in the direction of the ridges. You'll get used to it and won't even notice after a while.
I used to get really bad tramlining with the OEM tires. It didn't clear up completely but it was a massive improvement when I fitted the Michelin Pilot Sport AS ZPs.
I live in Ky and some of the old roads here are an example to that. I dart here and there. I was told that it is common for a car with wide tires to do that. Makes it more exciting... yeeeeesssssssssssss
I agree w/Dee Gee, mine was especially bad, had alignment, but still bad. My Goodyears still looked good but were noisy and rough. I replaced with the Michenlin ZPs, and WOW what a difference. Much quieter, smoother, and very little "wandering".
PS. I've forgotten how bad it was, til a C5 owner friend asked to drive my car....he was complaining about the ride with his. He immediately said, "man this is great, i have to get a set of these Michelins"

I have (had) some wide Motorsport wheels on my vert (F: 275/35-18, R: 315/30-18) and it would track like crazy with the wider rubber. Since its my DD and I have some bumpy roads I have to traverse, I ended up going back to the stock rims and Pilot runflats.

Yep, that was exactly my experience. No problem whatsoever since installation of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S ZPs.
