my c5z was 3046 at HRP scale essentially hitting reserve light

same car with cam, lt's, stinger catback, ccw drag pack and passenger seat pulled....same fuel level and scale...2999

showroom stock c6z with 1/3 tank was 3115 (scale seemed to register a bunch more cubes as well )

Apples to apples. Curb weight includes a full tank of gas, which weighs about 120lbs
So if you're missing 3/4 tank, add 90lbs

When they are talking about the factory curb weight--no gas that are measuring the car without any options. Most of the C5 coupes came from the factory weighing considerably more than the factory minimum weight while the Z, with very few options, was closer to the factory weight.

Yep curb weight is supposed to be the car ready to drive, which means full of fluids! It should also mean a full tank of gas but that's a blurry line.

The Z06 windshield is 1/3 thinner.
ON a side note, ( a little insider information )... At GM, once the initial design was approved, any revision to an existing design had to weigh less than the original design it could not weigh more.. I had several revs designed that were not approved because they did not save any weight.

To some degree perhaps. Maybe GM has something official stating how they measure.
Regardless, if one measures with 1/4 tank, next with a full tank...
Another variable is the actual scale.
Then there are base models equipped differently.

Now I’m going to have to go find some scales and see what my FRC weighs. Except for wheels, tires nd a cat back it’s pretty much stock.

My 04 Z16Zwas 3080 or 3090 years ago with a full tank at the track. I've since added headers, catless x, and swapped dual fans for a Small single.

I see you kinda beatin the drum about needing a full tank for a viable conversation. In my opinion, the two LEAST common states to operate a vehicle of this nature is FULL, and EMPTY. I personally never fill the tank of the car ever, especially now that I am back naturally aspirated and have restored front to rear bias. With the AA kit, I had another 95lbs on the nose, so more gas balanced the car better but...N/A, I drive the car between 1/4 and 3/4, so weighing it in, doing ride height and corner balancing, I went from 1/4 tank. In the next setup I do, I'm going from half just to simply split the norms.

End of the day, C5 Z06's running around are 3050 basically, with typical fuel. I'd like to get my cars weight down further with eliminating the air pump, and getting new seats. With the audio system being dated, I feel like doing a tablet as the double din, and changing speakers may leave 10lbs in the audio system to be gained also. I also have an attack plan on headlights coming up that should get me some weight. I'd really like to see the car at 2900 with 1/2 tank. My old S2k was like 2880 with 1/2 fuel, so I feel like catching that car would be a triumph.
