C5 v. C55 AMG

Thoughts on who would win? Corvette C5 versus Mercedes AMG C55. My money is on the Vette 0-60, but from a rolling start I'd put my $$ on the MB. Thoughts?

My son-in-law has a 06 CL55 AMG 497 HP supercharged Benz.Cost 125k, These things are fast, I know I drove it several times. My Vette has all the regular bolt ons and I dont know if I can out run him.

My business partner has one. Beautiful car but entirely different than my vert. It "builds" speed where as my car is violently quick. THe MB also feels very heavy compare to a C5.

Bottom line: No contest against mine.

I test drove a CL55 AMG once. I couldn't get the smile off of my face when I took it up the entrance ramp to the freeway. It does have balz like the vette. I was also impressed on the handling of the car. Trust me I'm happy with my Vette, but I wouldn't mind the MB for a daily driver.
