Sorry I missed the question earlier, and at this point I dont remember at all what the rpms dropped to. The car didnt bog at all, the speedo continued to run up, but I didnt make note of the rpms.
You dont want to go that fast without cracking both windows slightly open.

I got the same thing when I shift into 6th gear, it will pull pretty nicely if I lay into it. Good idea about cracking the windows open too. If I ever try for a top speed run I'll remember to try that. Thanks again for your comment
