It seems that everyone always asks me how the vette is doing and I normally answer "it's F'n awesome". So I put the request in for it and they gave it to me. The plate gets more attention than the car now. You'll figure something out.

See how easy that is to be profound. And you created a new group too..Frustration to go with boring, obvious, already taken. That's pretty profound

Mine came to me pretty easy. I drove the Vette up to work one day shortly after I bought it to show it off. One of the guys tells me hey that's "ONE BAD *** VETTTE". After that day I had several other comments along the same line, so that's how I decided to get my plate and my forum name,"1BAV". Surprisingly most people that have commented on the plate since I've put it on have figured it out very easily. I also picked the State Capitol plate since I live hear in Austin. It looks pretty cool. I've really enjoyed the plate and the attention I've gotten with it. Good luck to you. You may have the answer to your own question and don't even know it yet. You just may be overthinking the idea.

I'm also still pondering a plate for my vette. Does anyone know if FL DOT has a web site I can float plates by?

It takes a while to find the right one. I kept changing my mind and spent HOURS on the NC-DMV site.
Finally one of the folks i worked with introduced me to a new employee as the "Cool Geek". It was perfect!
Now I can show how being a Geek rocks as I blow by them.
Good Luck.

Last summer I was in Maine and spotted "STFU" on a Jeep.
Can't believe that one slipped through the DOT.

Sounds like some we get slipped though here in TN. I've seen FUKNBAD on a 69' Camaro at the Rod Runs here in Sevierville before. A DMV issued plate (ie, not a custom) my friend got by sheer luck was NXT-469.
