You can get the Black & Decker Automatic Battery Maintainer (part number BM2B) at Walmart. Small compact unit and has 2 charge rates 1amp and 2amp so it's perfect for cars or ATV's, motorcycles etc. Comes with 3 adapters for connecting to the car (cigarette lighter adapter, alligator clips and a quick disconnect type permanent mount connector to battery terminals). $16.99 per unit. They were so cheap I bought 4 last weekend for the C6, C5, E55 and motorcycle, only the daily driver does without. If you stop and think about it they are so cheap it's not even worth the risk of possibly killing a battery by not having one!

The Schumacker 1.5 amp battery tender at Wal-Mart is under $19. I use them on 3 cars, 3 motorcycles, trolling motor battery and the electric brake battery on my car hauler. Schumacker is an American company & has been in business since 1947. They also have a racing team.

That's the one I use, one for the Vette and one for the lawn tractor. Works fine and a reasonable price.
