I ran the BFG drag R 295/35/18
I notice at high speed 110+mph the back end will walk a little. You might be better off with the road racing tires because they have a stiffer side wall but still use the same rubber as a drag tire. I have heard good things about the nitto NTO1,s
If you want a all around performance for straight line and twistys the nittol 555r11 are the perfect tire I love them. They have a unique mix of a stiff sidewall and the tread design of there drag radial and they are quieter then my original F1's.
I have the Nitto Extreme Drag Radials on the back of my Z. They are very streetable with 30psi (still hook better than the GY supercars) and when you air them down they hook awesome. I would recommend them if you are looking for new tires.
I ran the Nitto RIIs on the front, and the Nitto Drag Radials on the rear of my 500+hp '92 C4 daily driver... legal speeds in the rain, 80-90 MPH on long highway trips, and road raced it once with about 25 PSI (cold) in the Drag Radials. No problems, and even though the C4 platform is a little less capable and balanced differently, I was able to push the car fairly hard with confidence. Mediocre for drag racing, but great for a powerful street car.
Thinking about a similar combo for my modded Z06, for 99% street/highway use.
