Gang,
I was sitting here in my office and I saw a lot of commotion at the window. I went outside and my horn was BLARING... The key fob would not turn it off, nor open the doors. I opened the door manually with the key and started the car just fine. The problem is that the horn continued to blare even with the car running. I had to remove the fuse in order to turn off the horn. Does anyone have ANY ideas of what I can do to fix this?
UPDATE - I replaced the horn relay switch and put the fuse back in. Once I put the fuse back in, the horn BLARED again. What else can I try?
Thank You,
VF007

I had this problem. I pulled the fuse and never got around to replacing the horn relay (even though I have one). I put the fuse back in a year later, and the horn works fine. I've read a number of threads that reference problems in the steering wheel that included replacing a component of the airbag assembly to fix the problem. Maybe your horn button is jammed -- try banging really hard with your fist? Do a search for horn problems and the airbag threads might pop-up.
Good luck,
Vaughn
Awhile back I had a similar problem with the horn but mine was NOT going off when I pressed it. At the dealer they opened up the steering wheel where the horn is. They had to remove the air bag . then in the center of the steering wheel there's a round disk. When you lift that disk there is a long spring, this spring makes a contact when the horn pad is pressed. My problem was that the spring was slightly bent and was not making a good contact, In your case it's probably the opposite. It stays stuck. Maybe your problem is there in the steering wheel.
Or you could have a short in the horn, or a loose connection under the hood. A good electrical mechanic should be able to resolve that problem in about 30 mins or less.
I just had this same problem. Last night it just started going off and the only thing that stopped it was pressing the horn very hard. Then I was driving this morning on the way to work and I had the radio up and noticed everyone in the cars around me were starring at me. I turned off the radio and heard my horn blarring. Again I pressed the horn very hard and it stopped, but this is rediculous.
