I think the most important thing you do is have the proven answer to the question of net results and deliver it. You haven't missed your mark once in all the things you guys have done for me in the over 5yrs from the smallest performance mod to the highest.

A post about clutches and the rated HP/TQ for them would be nice, especially w/pictures.

I think an FAQ page may be a great addition Chris.

FAQ:

What would I expect to get out of Intake/Headers/etc?
Basically, let the noobs know what to expect if you add some simple bolt-ons.

What are limitations for the car to get xxx hp?
Explain what you might need to upgrade as power levels increase.

What should I do to set my car up for Drag racing?
Street?
Track?
Autocross?

What are benefits of heads/cam vs. FI?

And now my personal favorites:

How do I break it to my wife that I just dropped $XX,XXX at ECS?

That's all I can think of for now. Let me know if you have an answer for the last one.

Should I consider Turbocharged or Supercharged? What are the differences in performance, initial costs, upkeep, and what additional costs of heads, valve springs etc. should I consider to enable a stock engine be able to handle the additional power. It would be great if you could include dyno pulls of a similar engine with turbo added then with charger added.

What can I buy that will give me the biggest bang for my buck?
What is the best ratio differential for the A4?
At what point should I get a hardened output shaft installed?
After upgrading the A4 gear ratio and installing a header kit what would be the next step?
At what point should I get a dyno tune?

Give me time, I'll think of some more.

Being serious expected use and reccomendations on clutches would be great, seems this comes up every week

At what HP level do you need upgraded fuel system, going into the 97-02 and 03-04 differences would also be very handy as this always comes up

Explain the differences between the Dyno-Jet and Mustang Dynos, and which one do you use.

Do you perform the dyno tune and then store it on a device like a Predator? If so - can the Predator be returned for additional modifications and tuning as changes are made.

Will a basically stock LSx benefit from a performance tune with simply intake and exhaust modifications (headers)?

-How about detailing the difference between a steel flywheel and an aluminum one and why one would choose one over the other?

-why would I need one of those oil catch-cans?

-is an underdrive pully a worthwhile mod?

-at what point does one need to have larger diameter headers? Like going from 1 3/4 TPIS to a 1 7/8 Kooks??

Another one - how do you keep your hair colored so blonde?

A thorough but simple explaination of the column lock problems, the various GM recalls, and when (and when not) the after-market electronic fixes can be used.

There are many posts and info in the header now, but it takes a detective and a lot of reading to sort through it all.

Supercharging on stock C5 4L60E auto and stock diff. At what H.P. do they start breaking or upgrades needed in either to handle significant H.P. upgrades? Just assuming you do supercharging, trans (or clutch) and diff upgrades are mandatory.

What is a torque converter? Why should a change a stock one
for a higher stall and how will my Moded vette react with the
higher stall torque converter. You could also discuss the extra
heat that can be produced.
Just a idea I already know the explanation. Good Luck

Hi Chris.

I assume you mean TUNING questions for your FAQ!

My list would be the questions that I asked you before coming over- mainly, What prep should I do before bringing my car for a tune? Answer: clean and charge air filter, replace plugs, get high performance wires, and especially in my case, do a top end treatment (eg. SeaFoam) to reduce knock.

(I'll be back to see you in a month or so when it warms up a tad.)

Actually I waas really looking for any general question that a lot of people have covered in this thread. They can be anywhere from a tuning question to what a torque converter is and anything inbetween..

Chris,
Here are a few for you:

Does ECS perform general maintenance and repairs on C5s & C6s?

My A4 heats up in when I’m in summer stop & go traffic. Would a transmission cooler help?

My car is stock. Would it benefit from tuning?

What kind of gains can I expect from LT headers? Do they require a tune? What about CAI. What is the best one. What can I expect from a gear change. Does a cam change require new valve springs? and yadaydayda. Thats all I could think of right now.
