95% of all the road tests ive seen including GMs own data lists the 01Z 4.0 to 60, 12.6@114qt.mi. 02-04Z, 3.9 to 60, 12.4@117qt.mi. In rare cases, the 02and later cars will do low 12s, high 11s. in the quarter mi. In other words the newer cars are practically running within a car length of each other bone stock.

BTW- Hope to see you at Atco on 3/9.
Definitely under 4 seconds. I'll send you a pm.

12.4 @ 115 is a good solid run for the average C5 Z06. I ran 12.3 @ just over 116 when mine was stock. Very fast production cars

In an old Motor Trend issue of mine from '02 they did 12.4 @ 116 in the quarter.

Wow, thats awesome to know.

Didn't realize that the car is that fast.
Figured that its gotta have some impressive numbers considering it gets painfully violent every time the gaspedal hits the floor.
Gonna have to go to a chiropractor for a neck brace soon.

I was originally looking for a 93-94 ZR-1 for a long time before I decided to get this instead.
After alot of thinking I figured that maybe the Z06 was a better choice considering it being alot newer allthough it was not an easy decision because the ZR-1 was my dream car since I was a kid.

How do you think that it would compare to a 94 ZR-1 ?
