Default friends 99 camaro ran.........

the only thing this guy has done to his 99 a4 camaro is cai catback maf and 3.73. he said he got 12.8 but no one went with him and there was no slip to prove it. just want to know if the camaro is capable of running in the high 12's with just a swap of gears

about 6 years ago i was at new england dragway, an older gentleman had a 00 firebird transam 1200 miles on the clock 3000 vigilante stall converter and drag radials.. thats it no filter change, no exhaust change, just the converter and drag radials. 12.70 @ 109 almost every pass on the button...

Yes, it is possible, but I've seen C5s with just intake filter, catback and stock gears (3.42s) running 12.8s. Then again Lightning trucks with just a pulley swap supposedly can do the same. Drag strip bragging rights are great if great handling goes with the package. Unfortunately for many vehicles' owners, this is not the case.

And bragging don't mean a thing unless you can back it up. No witness or timeslip........

I've personally seen a near bone stock (B&B Tri Flow cat-back only) Z28 go 12.79@112. Yes, F-Bodies in the hands of a GOOD driver are more than capable of clicking off a 12 second pass in bone stock trim.
