rear tow hook
Hello, have puchaced a stainless plate with the corvette emblem on that fits between the rear exhausts. However, when I came to fit it today noticed that the rear tow hook covers part of the plate. My quetion is, are these tow hooks fitted to all c5 vettes---or only euro models as mine. Also, can they be removed easily.

they're European only. Can't Imagine it's anything more than a few bolts holding them on.
If you have to have them, you can get ones that attach were your mufflers are from http://www.phoenixperformanceinc.com/. They're not listed on the website, so you'll have to e-mail or call them. They also have a hinged version that won't stick out.

The Tow Hooks are a European requirement and are fitted by the factory, before export. They are welded on and to do a really good job at removing the rear one requires removal of the rear fascia. As regards your exhaust plate you will need to cut round the tow hook. I did it on a 50th anniversary plate I had and it fitted fine.
