Default DIC still going nuts

About 3 weeks ago I posted on here that my dash was going nuts bonging in with reduced engine power and all my gauges went dead, including my radio. Everyone seemed to fell it must be my battery since I had over 4 years on it. Well this weekend I purchased a new AC Delco battery (the one it called for) and put it in. Needless to say it is still doing the same thing. I have tried to reset the DIC with the reset button but to no avail. What do I try next??? I don't know what direction to try. Anybody know. Thanks

Did you check the accordian tube in the driver's door jam area? There is a wire there that will short to the frame that will cause this. PM Bill Curlee and/or search for this and his pictures.

In the passenger door jamb also. The information you need to check this common area is here:

It was written by Bill Curlee. Sounds like what you are describing, was exactly what he describes how to fix in the sticky.
Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for the info. It is hitting home about my connectors in my door jam. My pass. side power window quit just before this DIC problem. Today I tore into the accordion wiring and the window started to work. Some how I think this is also relating to my other problems. There is a lot of dirty white chaulky material around and inside the rubber accordion tube. It is very difficult to get to the inside connectors but this is what I'm heading to next. Again thanks for the info.

Might also consider grounds if the door wire doesn't work out.

Hopefully I have fixed my pass side power window and DIC going crazy problem. When I took my door panel off I started jiggling wire looms by the door jamb and my window went up. After seeing different forums on here about the accordian wire loom I decided to check the connections. They didn't seem corrodid but I took them apart and sprayed them with CRC elec. cleaner and the CRC elec. grease. There was an exposed wire going into the black connector that was discussed on the forum. I added black tape to that area, it may have helped but I don't know. Anyway my dash is back to normal and the window works perfect. Thanks to all on this forum for the great pics and advice. I can't imagine what I would have paid going to the dealer. Again Thanks!!

Glad you got it fixed.
