I finally got my '99 Coupe out onto the interstate yesterday for the first time since I bought it last Nov. All went extremely well except for the instantaneous fuel economy reading, which was all over the map. "Average" mpg was steady on 24.5 or so throughout the whole 125 mile run, but every time I switched to "Inst" it was from 19-90 mpg and everywhere in between. Resets didn't help. Cruise was on most of the time and the road was level.
All other DIC functions plus all car functions were just fine. Anybody else had this happen? Is there an easy fix or should I ignore it?

"Instant" means exactly that - as soon as you slightly lift off the throttle or the elevation in the road changes, the system senses the engine going on and off load.
If you don't like the display - there are plenty of others that you can spend your time watching....personally I keep mine blank.
