Welcome to the forum, a word of advice tho, fill out your profile a little at the least. 2nd of all, from a former 03 cobra owner, a have driven lots of stangs. I obviously have a vette, they are a much better car in my opinion. good luck
Yeah, buy a Mustang, NOT! You might as well avoid the wait and get the Corvette now. That way you'll never have to say your sorry later on when you get rid of the Mustang to get a Corvette anyway>
Get the vette....and then you will understand! Go with an older C5....which can be found in the mid teens.....and then you won't break the bank! Plus...you will have some extra $$$ to mod it! Happy vette hunting!
When I am out riding in my 2003 convertible Vette with my wife and we stop at an intersection with a Mustang near us. I ask my wife, "you know what that guy in the Mustang is thinking? He is thinking, I wish I had a Vette." I know this is hubris of me but damn this is such a great car. If it fits your wallet and you don't need a back seat. . . . get the Vette.
I am 21 and I have had an 85 s10 that blew up (not my fault), a 92 ranger that i wrecked, a 9 t-bird that just one day refused to run anymore, and a 98 s-10 that i got rid of after the tranny went.
i would not have wanted the vette for my first car, or anything brand new. i gained a lot of respect and maturity in dealing with vehicles by starting out at the bottom with beaters that i was always tinkering with to keep on the road.
I absolutely love my Vette. But before you pull the trigger on a car like this, you have to evaulate your own maturity in driving and handling such a powerful car and being able to repair it.
