I just installed a new mirror with homelink by Gentex. The mirror is autodimming with homelink. It looks great. Works good. The only downside is that the three buttons are not lit-up nor are they raised. So in the dark, you don't know where to push. My solution will be to get some small silicone hemisphere/bumps and put them on the buttons. Right now, I only have clear/clouded and I want black.
I will let you know how it works out. Will also sent photos.

I just received the homelink version w/ map lights, temp & compass. (Discontinued a short time ago but found a supplier). Was it a fairly easy install?
Installation is not difficult. My 2000 did have just the manual mirror with the lights but the swap was routine. Slotcar is on the lift and covered so pictures will have to wait. I'm sure somebody will have pictures or a how-to.

This would be a great addition for many of us. Do they have the mirrors with the compass in them like in the newer GM vehicles?
I've always liked autodimming mirrors, have owned two cars with them. The homelink is an awesome feature as well. But, why the h*** are they putting compasses in mirrors these days?
If you get that turned around driving, then you need GPS not a compass.
