I just replaced my battery under a year ago. Ive installed a nitrous system on my c5 and i wasnt really havent to meny problems with my battery. My cars off the road for the winter but i still start it up about once a week. Lately when ive been starting it its been giving my problem and im having to jump it everytime. I even un hooked the power to my nitrous system and im still seeming to have the problem. Its seems like the battery drains out and it doesnt have the juice to turn it over, I really dont know whats going on. Whats a good place to hook up my nitrous power lines, ive tryed the battery posts on top and ive even tryed hooked it up to the fusebox. I just wanted to ask around and maybe i could find the problem with my car b4 i whent and got my battery tested to see if theres a problem with it. When i start it up every week what should i do. Let it idle or go 4 a spin??? Thanks
I had a hard time concentrating on your post with that 21 year old girl blowing kisses in the True advertisement...but here goes:
The best thing you can do for your battery during Winter storage is to keep a maintenance charge on it with something like the Battery Tender Plus.
That way, you will not have to drive it around until the oil temp hits 200 degrees. Just keep some Stabil in the gas tank and pump up the tires to near max pressure (bring them back down before driving, of course).
Post your power question in the C5 Forced Induction/Nitrous section. I'm sure those guys'll know.

Most of the experts recommend AGAINST starting the car every week. You would be much better off with a Battery Tender or one of the other "smart" battery maintenance devices. Failing that - you could have simply disconnected the negative terminal.
These cars draw amperage just sitting.
As far as what is the best place to wire your nitrous, I would think you would want a switched hot, meaning that the nitrous can only be engaged when the ignition is on, maybe the wiper circuit. MHO, of course.
