Alright the wife and I went on a walk today. We headed over to the local Auto Row (Bunch of Dealerships). I spotted an Blue 2003 Corvette in a used lot. It had plates on it but the guy said it was for sale, but it was his General Manager's car.
Getting to the point... My buddy is looking to get a MANUAL shift car because he misses the experiance. He wants to trade in his S-10 for "something manual". He said a New Civic SI but I suggested this Vette to him today. He actually wants to look at it!!! He really likes my Z, so I guess I shouldn't be to surprised.
Question is what is a Blue 03 Corvette with 50K miles worth to you all? It has C6 5-spoke rims with NEW tires, Borla stinger exhaust, really nice paint except a few minor spots, HUD, interior looks STOCK. I know I should have gotten a picture but I wasn't thinking he would actually want to see it.... Thanks Guys
Kelly blue book puts it at $29,000 for private party

Well - if it's a coupe, no more than about $25K, and if it's a convertible, I'd say about $27-$28K. With 50K on the odometer on a 5 year old car, I wouldn't call it low mileage, but it's not exceptionally high mileage either.
might even try to shoot him 25 or so, might come back with 28, and say 26.5 is all hes prepared to pay...take it or leave it
sounds like a plan. We are going to go look at it tommorrow, than I can loook under the hood and sit in it. I didn't get to talk to the owner so I don't know how bad he wants the car gone... I guess we will see Thanks Guys!!
There are some great low mileage cars out there. It depends on how much time and effort he wants to put into looking.
I think the 25-27 is a good estimate, maybe even a harder line on the 25 part.
Unfortunately, what someone suggests (in their opinion) what the car might sell for, will have no bearing. These might give you some information that can be copied and taken to the dealership to negotiate with...
