Hud!!!

I was very apprehensive about doing this install on my 98. but after all was said and done, I am extremely pleased with the results.
I did run into a few issues that I was not prepared for. the first one was that my dash pad did not have the prestamped holes for the Hud bezel legs that anchor the hud bezel to the dash. I did have the embossed outline where the entire hud bezel was to fit on the dash, but that did not help me very much for drilling the holes for the legs. I had to eyeball where to drill the holes. And I checked, rechecked, and double checked the recheck before I drilled. I'm not trying to scare anyone off, but you only have so much room for error before you can fubar your hud install.
The second issue was pretty trivial, but on the hud projector itself, it has 2 tabs up front that I attached with double sided 3m adheasive tape. I believe I got that and the hud bezel from Pacethis. Great guy by the way. but back to the problem. On my 98 I did not have a pre drilled hole to secure the back leg of the hud projector. I was going to drill a hole manually, but did not have the proper metal drill bit, and I don't think that i had the agility to line of the hole with the projector. I'm a pretty big guy, and that is a hard angle to hit. So I took some JB Weld and made a pretty good support for the back leg of the projector.
But besides these 2 little hang up's that I had. Everything else was smooth sailing. And I definitely recommend this upgrade for all the non Hud guys out there. I almost don't look down at my gauges anymore.
Take it easy guys, Hope to see you out there!
